We ordered the Miso Seafood Ramen, which explicitly shows two large shrimp tempuras on top in their menu photos. When the food arrived, there was no tempura at all. When we questioned the server about the missing items, she initially claimed they were completely out of shrimp tempura and had substituted them with regular shrimps inside the broth instead. We checked—there was absolutely no shrimp in the broth either. Once they realized we were visibly upset about being lied to, the server materialized with two pieces of shrimp tempura on a side plate. How do you suddenly find tempura after claiming you don't have any? When I asked why they didn’t just tell us about any issues beforehand, the excuse was that "the menu needs to be updated." That is entirely their responsibility, not the customer's. The logic just doesn't line up here—it felt like one lie after another just to cover up a mistake. To top it all off, they charge a ridiculous $5 for a single bowl of plain white rice. Honesty is the absolute bare minimum basis of running a business, and this place completely lacks it. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

It a small local Japanese restaurant that has delicious rolls and dishes. The spicy edamame and beef negimaki (thin sliced beef rolled around scallions with teriyaki sauce - be sure to order first, it takes some time to cook). Yellowtail Jalapeno Carpaccio and Samurai bites are always a go-to. And my favorite rolls are Loka roll, Samurai roll, Chef roll, and Kamikaze roll.

amazing sushi place! we went here for a birthday dinner, i got the teriyaki tofu and cucumber roll because i don’t eat meat, they were both great, and my family got quite a few dishes. the favorites of the night were the tofu, the shrimp salad and the tonkatsu

Samurai Sushi in East Rutherford is seriously one of the best little hole-in-the-wall spots. The sushi is always super fresh, flavorful, and made with real care, and everything tastes clean and high quality. It’s the kind of place that feels casual and comfortable but still delivers amazing food every time. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, and it’s perfect for a quick dinner or an easy night out. Definitely a local favorite and a spot I keep coming back to whenever I’m craving really good sushi! 🍣🍱🫖

First time trying this place and i highly regret it. Spent $45 on Uber Eats for two ramen bowls and dumplings… The noodles were absolutely disgusting, the egg was cooked so fast i couldn’t even consume it. Presentation was absolutely horrible. Flavorless & a complete waste of my time and money. I will never return or recommend to anyone. Worst mistake I made
